Our Development Process

Summary: A software development process is a structure imposed on the development of a software product. For Cron Systems, there are two parts: First the entire process starting with a descriptive document and ending with a product. That process is described below. Secondly, there is a technical process that monitors and tracks the actual software creation, testing, verification, and delilvery. That process is identified in Step 4 below.

1. Create a functional requirements document that details features and functions, highlights major milestones, and identifies key deliverables.

2. Once requirements document is approved by both parties, a firm quote and completion time are offered.

3. Once awarded the project, a deposit (ranging from 25% to 50% depending on project) is required to cement the agreement. Then access to our online project mgt system is extended. The client receives full monitoring and direct contact with our designers/developers. This element seeks to eliminate surprises for each agreed upon milestone. This step tackles project management from an entirely different angle: a focus on communication and collaboration. This step brings people together.

4. Cron Systems implements the project according to the milestones; the client pays according to the milestones. Cron Systems utilizes a Rational Unified Process(RUP) to manage the actual development work performed by the designers and developers. The RUP, while firm, provides a structure to ensure what was requested is what is delivered on time  and without holes.

5. Cron Systems makes the deliverables and provides up to 3 months of support to meet the specific needs of the agreed upon requirements document.
